Yarburgh Community Preschool wish to employ a passionate and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant to provide safe, high quality care for early years children. A level 2 childcare qualification is essential as is experience of working within a preschool or day nursery.

It is varied role in a small, but busy preschool.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide exemplary care and learning opportunities to our children in a supportive setting.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

About Yarburgh Community Preschool

Yarburgh Community Preschool has recently been awarded an Outstanding rating by Ofsted. Yarburgh Community Preschool provides a safe, secure, stimulating and fun environment for young children to learn through play. We also provide support and friendship to families within the group. We are run by a committee made up of parents and are set in a purpose built premises with a large garden.

Yarburgh Community Preschool accepts children aged 2 to 5 years old. We welcome children with specific needs and support families in partnership with outside agencies. Our classrooms are open between 9am and 3pm and we offer sessions of 3, 4 and 6 hours per day. We also provide a more structured learning time for our rising 5’s in our stepping stones session. We can support up to 24 children in the setting at each session.

Yarburgh Community Preschool has its own purpose built premises comprising of two large classrooms, a school office, a kitchen, a cloakroom and a bathroom with small toilets perfect for pre-schoolers. We also have a large enclosed garden with a sensory path, ride on toys, a two storey playhouse, a trim trail, a sand pit, a mud kitchen, climbing frames and other garden toys. Recently, we have revamped our facilities and processes and the children and staff can now enjoy freshly decorated learning spaces with many new toys, modern equipment and a more supportive working environment for the planning and development of the staff.
