About Us

Yarburgh Community Preschool accepts children from age 2 to statutory school age (5) at its own purpose built premises. We provide a safe, secure, stimulating and fun environment for young children to learn through play. We welcome children with specific needs and support families in partnership with outside agencies.

A typical day at Yarburgh will allow your child to experience all aspects of learning through play. We are able to take a maximum of 24 children per session.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which sets the standards for all early years providers. The EYFS specifies requirements for learning and development and for safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

At Yarburgh we provide an environment where the four main principles of the Statutory Framework of the EYFS can be met. These are:

  • Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured
  • Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships
  • Children learn and develop well in enabling environments in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between staff, parents and carers
  • Importance of learning and development. Children develop and learn at different rates.

We are a committee run registered charity (1025289) and are registered with Ofsted,  West Sussex County Council and the Early Years Alliance.

Yarburgh is a wonderful place for young children to learn and develop whilst having fun. The staff are all amazing – I can’t thank them enough for looking after my two children.
